Man of La Mancha has been canceled due to the pandemic. It is our sincere hope to mount the production when it is safe to do so.
We the People Theatre, like so many arts organizations, has been seriously impacted by this pandemic. Our production of Man of La Mancha had to be cancelled last spring but we have been heartened by the outpouring of support from our patrons and partners. So many have contributed to our success- the artists, the underwriters, local businesses, speakers at our talk-backs and more. It has truly been a community effort of “we the people”. Perhaps the biggest lesson is that we need each other to sustain a community that we are proud to call home.
While we are taking a long pause, we have been having fun creating some at-home videos of Songs of Quarantine. Performed by Memory Apata and Jenn Langhus and the performers of We the People. Here's to the day we will be back on stage.
For each production we invite the community into a conversation with us about the play. Whether we are talking about our dreams for our community and each other or the value of work in our lives or what it means to live in a democracy, these conversations are always lively.
