By Perry Allison, Producing Artistic Director
Neither snow nor sleet nor freezing rain will keep us from our appointed rounds. Actually we’re not talking about the postal delivery people but the rehearsals for our production of A Man of No Importance. It would appear that the weather Gods are having their way with us this winter. We have already cancelled one rehearsal and had to take our first full read-through to Zoom last night. The forecast for Sunday when the entire cast is called again is predicting as much as a foot of snow in our wintry corner of the world. GAH! I suppose we should be grateful to have Zoom and the technology it offers. But it’s starting to feel eerily like the Covid shutdown.
So we press on. We buck up. We plan for the worst and hope for the best. Last night's read-through was a wonderful coming together of our cast. We shared what the show means to each of us. It was truly heart-warming and validated our choice to do this show now. We all left the evening feeling very excited about the special show we will create together.
